He ain't heavy, he is my brother!
Damn, that was lame.
Jason came to visit this weekend from San Angelo. He is currently in fire school at Goodfellow Air Force base. I have always been super proud of my little bro, but nowadays I find all the more reason to think so. While watching all this hurricane aftermath coverage, it kinda makes what Jason does all the more noble. Backdraft and Ladder 49 seem kinda melodramatic when compared to the mass destruction and indiscribable heartache that bitch Katrina left us with.
Besides that, tho. . we did have a good time visiting. I havent seen Jason since Dad's funeral. So, it was nice to hang out with him in a much less stressful environment.
Scott and I took him around Baylor's campus and toured the Dr Pepper museum. I suppose we are true Wacoans now that we've done that.
I am working like crazy, which is good!! I can not tell you how much better I feel both physically and psychologically now that I am employed in a job that utilizes my abilities. Since I didnt get on the direct deposit schedule in time, my one week paycheck was overnighted to me Friday. It made me feel good to hold a check that had all my benefits, taxes and extra withholdings on it and still have a net amount more than my last job's two week paycheck. :)
I guess being in Texas isnt so bad when you finally are able to support your family.
